Biography

I am a pianist, composer and performer who started playing at age 6 and continued with a lifelong love, study and involvement in music. I received a B.A. in Piano Performance at the University of Massachusetts Boston, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and receiving the Departmental Award for Distinction in Music. While at UMass, I discovered a passion for both teaching music through my appointment as Music Dept. tutor, and for composing.  Also at the University of Massachusetts, I also received a K-12 Massachusetts DESE (public school)  teaching license and have been teaching piano since.

Since university, I have been composing, recording and performing, most recently with my  band Ginger Ibex, which performs in local and New England-area clubs. I am also very honored and excited to have recently received a “Meet The Composer” grant from NEFA (New England Foundation for the Arts – 2011).

I truly enjoy teaching piano and music for all ages, levels and styles and find great joy in helping my students learn.
